WA: Five injured in plane crash remain critical, say doctors

PERTH, Aug 15 AAP - The five men badly burned when a light aircraft ploughed into scrublandnear Perth's Jandakot airport remain in a critical condition in hospital today.

The pilot and four passengers injured when the Cessna 404 crashed shortly after take-offon Monday began skin graft operations yesterday.

Royal Perth Hospital Burns Unit Director and burns surgeon Fiona Wood and her teamwill continue operating on the patients today, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.

A hospital spokesman said all five remained in a critical condition in the hospital'sintensive care unit.

Engineer and father-of-three Harry Protoolis, 38, from Perth, died in the accident.
