SA: Adelaide Bank drops home loan rates from tomorrow
Adelaide Bank has cut its variable home loan rates by 0.25 per cent -- in line with
the Reserve Bank's official interest rate cut -- with the cuts taking effect from tomorrow
(Friday).
The bank's new standard variable rate will be 6.07 per cent.
Adelaide Bank spokesman JAMIE MCPHEE says the latest rate cuts have been tipped for
some time, especially in the wake of the September 11 tragedy in the US.
Mr MCPHEE says the continued drop in rates in the US and the downturn in world stock
markets also affected the decision.
