SHANDAKEN -- Facing criticism from local officials in the Catskills, New York City environmental officials said Tuesday they will withdraw plans to fund a $600,000 study of a proposed resort complex.
The city's Department of Environmental Protection earlier this year announced plans to have a consultant perform a wide-ranging study of the massive Bellayre Resort project, a proposed two-hotel complex in the heart of the Catskill Park in Ulster County. …
