Vic: Smoking no grounds for discrimination, HREOC
MELBOURNE, Feb 8 AAP - Smoking was not a ground for discrimination under federal anti-discrimination
laws, the Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission (HREOC) said today.
The comment followed reports some Melbourne surgeons had been deferring or denying
transplant operations and other treatments to smokers.
