Qld: Schools booked for federally-funded facelift
Nearly 14 hundred Queensland schools are booked for a federally-funded facelift.
Federal Education Minister JULIA GILLARD's announced that the schools will share in
195 million dollars for minor infrastructure and refurbishment projects.
Improvements include a new school hall stage curtain .. resurfaced basketball courts
.. shade structures and a lick of paint.
Queensland's Education Minister GEOFF WILSON's welcomed the funding injection .. which
he says will not only improve schools .. but also create jobs.
