Borland Selects Conxion Corporation to Manage and Host New Software Development Platform; Borland Cites Security and Reliability as Key Drivers.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Conxion Corporation, the reliability and performance leader in managed hosting, announced today that it is working with Borland Software Corporation to host and manage Borland(R) TeamSource(TM) DSP (Development Services Platform), a new hosted service that enables software development across the firewall. This new service operated by Borland will work in tandem with Conxion's managed hosting offering, so that software development can be staged and transitioned to production in the same data center it was developed in, for fast and efficient deployment.

TeamSource DSP, hosted at Conxion, aims to speed application development by bridging teams distributed across function, locations and companies. Conxion is building a complete hosting and network solution for Borland. Conxion will supply, build, integrate and maintain application and database servers within secure data centers, all with 24x7 support; and these systems will be integrated into Conxion's high-performance global IP network. Conxion's Tier 1 network status provides a view of the Internet routing tables, and this network intelligence is used by Conxion's HotRoute(TM) Digital Delivery Network (DDN) to provide the fastest access for customers.

An essential feature to hosted development is security. TeamSource DSP was built to provide properly maintained and protected developer source code. Developers will have access to code through Internet-ready client applications that they load on their workstation, which also includes file sharing, version management, and collaboration. TeamSource DSP customers will have a dedicated security staff to manage their entire development infrastructure 24x7. The security staff monitors for intrusion detection, and ensures that bandwidth and disk space requirements are met.

Borland required a secure, reliable and high-performance platform for hosting this mission-critical service. "We chose Conxion because they demonstrated the necessary skills and a robust infrastructure to help us provide a complex hosted development platform," said Patrick Kerpan, vice president and general manager of development services platform solutions for Borland. "The flexibility of Conxion's infrastructure will allow us to easily scale TeamSource to meet customer demand."

"We are very pleased to work with Borland in this endeavor and service delivery," said Greg Quinn, vice president of sales and strategic alliances at Conxion. "This new development infrastructure is mission-critical, and demands that we work together to ensure the most powerful and reliable platform. Our managed service will deliver the security, reliability, and network performance required to deliver true 24x7, across the firewall development."
