ANDA Networks Receives 2009 4GWE Product of the Year Award.

ANDA Networks, the leader in carrier-class fiber and copper-based access platforms for wireline networks or wireless backhaul applications, announced that its recently introduced EtherEdge 4300, flexible, compact Ethernet mobile backhaul solution has received a 2009 4GWE Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) and Crossfire Media. The 4GWE Award recognizes companies' outstanding development of technologies geared toward the evolution of 4G, all IP, wireless networks.

Residing at the mobile base-station towers, EtherEdge 4300 incorporates ANDA's award-winning EtherProbe real-time performance monitoring tools, with new EtherStream sub-flow session monitoring features for managing on-demand WAN optimization and management of bandwidth-intensive high-growth, mobile data traffic flows, (such as streaming video downloads and mobile TV). EtherEdge 4300 accommodates real-time load balancing and WAN optimization. This ensures mobile users receive a fair and uniform quality of service without additional management devices to selectively block and manage traffic. With the EtherEdge 4300, service providers do not need to perform deep-packet inspection, which can be intrusive and tax the overall bandwidth of the backhaul access links.

"Receiving TMC's 4GWE Product of the Year Award further validates ANDA's continuing efforts to help mobile providers ensure a positive uniform quality of experience across all subscribers while minimizing management OPEX," notes Charles R. Kenmore, ANDA Networks President and CEO. "The EtherEdge 4300 captures real-time and historical data for analysis, enabling highly granular Quality of Service (QoS) metrics for end-to-end visibility and dynamic management of service level agreements (SLAs) as mobile networks handle rapid and at present, unpredictable growth of media rich IP based applications from new smartphone devices."

"On behalf of Crossfire Media I extend congratulations to ANDA Networks for their advancement of 4G technologies. The entire wireless industry looks forward to more innovative solutions from them in the future," said Carl Ford, founder and community developer, Crossfire Media.

"4GWE is pleased to grant a 2009 Product of the Year Award to ANDA Networks for their EtherEdge 4300. ANDA has proven they are committed to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. "We're proud to honor their accomplishments in the advancement of the 4G industry."

The 1st Annual 4GWE Product of the Year Award winners are featured on the 4GWE Web site and published in its December 2009 e-newsletter.
